CDC Interim Guidance for Businesses and Employers to Plan and Respond to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)- The interim guidance may help prevent workplace exposures to COVID-19, in non-healthcare settings. (CDC has provided separate guidance for healthcare settings.) This guidance also provides planning considerations for community spread of COVID-19.

Facebook is working to help provide support to small business owners during this time. If you haven’t visited it yet, their business page lists resources and potential grant opportunity for impacted businesses

There are many inaccurate pieces of information circling. The City-Cowley County Health Dept has created a rumor control page on their website and will keep it updated. Please check with them if you have additional questions.
US Chamber of Commerce Foundation
Save Small Businesses Fund – Funded by corporate and philanthropic partners, the Save Small Business Fund is a collective effort to provide $5,000 grants to as many small employers as we can. We hope these supplemental funds will help you get through the next days and weeks. To qualify, must employee between 3 – 20 people.

U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) published additional implementation guidance pursuant to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). WHD published its first round of FFCRA implementation guidance on March 24th. These discuss several of the details for medical leave, as well as a Field Assistance Bulletin describing WHD’s 30-day non-enforcement policy.

Kansas Stay At Home Order:
Per paragraph 9, section a: No individual leaving their home in order to perform an (essential) activity or function allowed under this order shall be required to carry or present any letter, identification card, or other paper proving that they are allowed to leave their home. Law enforcement officers enforcing this order should use their discretion and consider the totality of the circumstances as they determine appropriate enforcement action.
