Parkerfield just keeps getting bigger and, according to city leaders, better.
This small community consists of approximately 400 residents, with 156 residencies, and boasts new businesses and homes that continue to attract individuals to its close knit community.
The town’s motto is “Where Every Person Matters.” The City of Parkerfield, just 1 mile east of Arkansas City, was incorporated in 2004 by residents who wanted to maintain its friendly, rural character.
The city’s location to adjoining Arkansas City attract commuting workers by offering the best of both worlds; a rural life style and close proximity to employment opportunities and great education within the USD 470 Arkansas City School District and the Cowley College campus.
With room to grow, families choose Parkerfield to build new homes or purchase existing housing. New residents are attracted by the informal atmosphere and the city’s ongoing progress.
Parkerfield is a city with high community spirit, where neighbors care and work with others.
