For the third summer Cowley First has kicked-off a fun dining event; “Back Road Dining in Cowley County”. Once again, Cowley First-Cowley County Economic Development has teamed up with four restaurants in Cowley County to offer a chance to win a $25 dining gift certificate.
Want deep-fried catfish? How about tender, tangy barbecue? Like authentic Italian pizza, or a nice steak with rice or potatoes? What about Singaporean and Malaysian cuisine?
Cowley County has all that and more. The variety of dining opportunities is continually growing and impresses newcomers. There’s something for everyone.
Neives’ and El Maguey’s restaurants in Winfield, Greendoor La Familia and La Fiesta in Arkansas City are popular Mexican restaurants.
College Hill Coffee, near Southwestern College, offers a progressive coffee-house scene in a renovated bungalow. Biederman’s Bistro & Catering provides white tablecloth dining with excellent daily specials.
The Burger Station, in Winfield, Brick’s and Daisy Mae’s in Arkansas City, and the Grouse Valley Grill in Dexter are popular landmark restaurants that feature comfort food in a down-home atmosphere.
